Landscapes

Salt Lake City, Utah, my hometown, is not far from the many spectacular scenes in the south of the state and across the border in northern Arizona (the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, where, as a college student, I worked for many summers).
The Tetons and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming are only a few hours away, and rustic, pioneer farming towns dot the countryside along the way. It is also just a short drive to the nearby Wasatch Mountains and Uintah Range, which offer aspen- and pine-covered forests, alpine flora, and extensive vistas--for the back-country aficionado and for the artist.
Locally, there are numerous parks where I often walk my dog. They have provided inspiration for many paintings featured in the Northern Utah section.
